Work environment

The council’s main offices at Perceval House were extensively refurbished in 2005 and now provide a work environment that ranks amongst the best to be found in any local authority.

The refurbishment also delivered a state of the art customer service reception and telephone contact centre.

The whole of Perceval House works in an open plan environment – this extends to the Chief Executive and Corporate Board. There are ample break-out areas located on each floor of the building and these provide additional touch-down points for working away from your desk.

Perceval House also contains the Business Centre on the ground floor. As well as a reception for visitors, the Business Centre contains additional touch-down points as well as an extensive range of meeting rooms and a cafeteria for use by staff and visitors alike.
